ARE BLISS PRODUCTS GLUTEN FREE?
Our products are not only gluten free but also grain free!
WHAT ELSE ARE OUR PRODUCTS "FREE OF"?
We also do not use any dairy, corn, soy, gums (Xanthum or Guar), eggs, fillers, yeast, GMOs, preservatives or refined sugar.
ARE WE CERTIFIED GLUTEN FREE?
We are not certified gluten free as yet. In the near future we would like to get our certification, however since the owner and her family must eat gluten, dairy and soy free we can assure you our products are free of those ingredients. Our kitchen is not only gluten free, but also grain free and only we buy ingredients that are naturally gluten free.
WHY ARE WE GRAIN FREE AS WELL AS GLUTEN FREE?
Many people with a known sensitivity to gluten, continue to experience digestive and other health issues after transitioning to a traditional gluten free diet. There are many forms of gluten and although some people are helped by eliminating the most common ones, such as wheat, rye and barley, many find further relief after taking all grains out of their diet. All grains do contain some gluten.
WHAT IS THE PALEO DIET?
Fruits, veges, nuts and seeds and no processed foods. Since honey is the only non Vegan ingredient we use, we are almost Paleo/Vegan. The Paleo diet is grain free so is a nutrient dense way of eating.
WHAT IS THE SPECIFIC CARB DIET (SCD)?
Eating according to the SCD means eating a lower carb diet choosing specific ones that allow for a modest carb intake, It is a grain free diet as well. For more information please see this informative site: Breaking the Vicious Cycle by Elaine Gottschall
ARE WE VEGAN?
While we use plant based ingredients we do use honey in most of our products. In the near future we will be coming out with a couple more products and they will be fully Vegan.
WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE OF OUR PRODUCTS?
Our best selling product, The Honey Almond Brunch Bar has a shelf life of approximately two months. To maintain freshness we recommend freezing the product once you get it home if you plan to keep for more than a couple of weeks. Our Macaroons have a similar shelf life.
DO WE USE A MICROWAVE?
No, we never use a microwave oven.
ARE OUR PRODUCTS LATEX FREE?
Although we do not use any latex gloves while producing our products we cannot guarantee that some of our ingredients may have come in contact with latex at some point.
WHERE DO WE SHIP TO?
For now we are shipping to S/W Ontario Canada only. (from Windsor to Toronto). Please for areas outside of this, please our shipping page for more information.
